We must teach history or we are doomed to fail.

If our schools had been doing a better job over the last 40 years, would we be in the mess we are in today? With the clear turn toward socialism in this country we are doomed to repeat failures of history's past.

I wonder how George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Sam Adams, Ben Franklin, John Hancock, Nathan Hale, Patrick Henry..........would feel about the direction our country has taken over the past century. I find it amazing that the first black president is enslaving so many Americans with his policies. So many people fought for freedom over the past 400 years and he is enslaving the people of America to taxation levels well beyond the levels that England taxed the colonists so many years ago.

President Obama must have not study American History in all of his years of schooling.

Quote of the Day
"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." -- Ben Franklin, 1766
