During the 2000-2001 school year per pupil spending of school districts averaged $6738.
During the 2004-2005 school year per pupil spending of school districts averaged $9100.
Per pupil spending went up 35% during this four year period while during this same period inflation went up only 9.40%. Per pupil spending statewide was almost four times the rate of inflation. New Hampshire schools have a spending problem not a funding problem. There is no doubt that when defining an "adequate education" tax increases will be crammed down the throats of New Hampshire taxpayers and the spending spree by our public education/government education system will continue. Please inform your legislators that the definition of an adequate education does not not to include increased funding.
