Per pupil spending for Croydon Students vs. Inflation

During the 1998-1999 school year the per pupil spending for Croydon students was $4147.62. In 2004-2005 the per pupil spending per student was $8765.23. In a six year period per pupil spending went up 113% while inflation went up 16.97%. At the same time enrollment went down 15%.

This March Croydon citizens will be asked to spend more money on education. Our school district is spending more than 6 times the rate of inflation. It is time for our district to control spending. We will be voting no on any further spending increases this March.
